At the May meeting of the Parish Council the following was covered, amongst other items.
Milton Road/Thurleigh Road junction: a meeting has been held with Highways about the concerns with the bund at the junction and lack of visibility when turning right. Highways have agreed to remove the bund from about two car lengths before the junction and along Thurleigh Road and will replace it with a ditch that will flow into the current ditch running alongside the field. It is hoped this work will be done at the end of the month when the road will be closed to allow remedial work to the surfacing.
Grass Cutting: The Council is aware that bpha are responsible for various areas in the village. It is understood the new contractor is having some issues but bpha are working with them to ensure grass cutting is taking place. Any concerns should be taken up with bpha directly.
Christmas Event: to date there have been no volunteers to take on running the event and sorting and decorating the Christmas Tree. The Parish Council is supportive of the event but this should be led by the community. If you are interested in undertaking this please contact the Clerk in the first instance, if volunteers are not forthcoming then the event may not take place.
