Update from Septembers Parish Council meeting

At the September meeting of the Parish Council the following was covered, amongst other items

Transporters: the Borough Council have provided details of proposed areas where a no transporter order will be in place. It is anticipated signage will be placed on the B660 at Ravensden Crossroads, the Bolnhurst Junction and junctions in Keysoe, as well as the Milton Road junction on the Sharnbrook to Milton Ernest Road, this ensures Thurleigh village is a no transporter area. It is up to the police to regulate this. Once the Parish Council has more details they will be shared.

Hayle Field site: there is a slight delay of 6/8 weeks and the first action will be to move the current overhead power lines to underground, this will require some traffic management- mainly traffic lights. They will be using the field next door to store equipment which will reduce traffic movements, but there will be some large lorries being used to take away earth. They will be starting on the houses at the front first as this will make the area look more attractive and allow them a show home. Its anticipated the build will take 18 months.

The Close area; the Parish Council is aware of a regular ‘explosion’ at around 10pm. If you hear this or know of any details as to where exactly its coming from please report to the police via 101 (either phone or online) every time you hear it and hopefully this will lead to the police investigating
